#2 May 8th – Pizzeria Caldera Fundraiser

Join us at Pizzeria Caldera for a four-course, Italian-descended, locally-inspired dinner to support Hearts of Glass, a JenTen Production in partnership with Slow Food in the Tetons. First of four courses served at 6:30 PM, so arrive at 6 PM, please.

Tickets available at:http://bit.ly/PizzeriaCaldera_HeartsOfGlass

Your ticket includes a four-course meal (vegetarian option available) and either a cocktail, a glass of wine or a soft drink. Cash bar available. Jackson Hole Still Works will unveil it’s signature cocktail for the film, so hold onto your hat!

Pizzeria Caldera is delighted to support Vertical Harvest and the documentary film telling the story of its first critical year of operation. In Hearts of Glass cutting-edge food production meets social good in an ambitious experiment to provide year-round produce to a mountain town, while employing community members with disabilities. Proceeds from the event go toward a $2,500 challenge match from First Interstate Bank.

#3 May 11 – “Through Our Lens” at Center for the Arts

JenTen is participating in this evening of film presented by Jackson Hole WILD and Orijin Media. Five short films will screen and we’ll share an excerpt from our work-in-progress, Hearts of Glass. The event celebrates gender equality in filmmaking. Tickets available at: Center for the Arts

Planet Jackson Hole: An Intimate Crop

January 3, 2017 by Jennifer Tennican

A local film in progress will illuminate the people behind the glass at Vertical Harvest. By Meg Daly

JACKSON HOLE, WY – How do we nourish community? That is the question explored in a new film in progress, Hearts of Glass, about Vertical Harvest, the urban greenhouse in downtown Jackson that has made people sit up and take notice. Funded in part through a unique public/private partnership with the Town of Jackson, it is one of very few vertical greenhouses in the world.

Vertical Harvest has been written up in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and myriad other publications. It has garnered attention not only for an innovative approach to growing food, but also for co-founders Penny McBride’s and Nona Yehia’s commitment to employing people with developmental disabilities.

Bad News, Good News

September 27, 2016 by Jennifer Tennican

Bad news, good news – Although we made it to the finals, we didn’t win the Seed&Spark / Project Greenlight Digital Studios Untold Story Rally, but we premiered our re-vamped trailer at the Center for the Arts, submitted a grant request to Humanities Montana, entered the The Paley Center for Media Documentary Pitch Competition and applied for two production funding grants. We are moving forward on all fronts – filmmaking and funding, baby! Thanks to all the folks and organizations who have supported us thus far! Center of Wonder, Wyoming Humanities Council, Wyoming Arts Council and Wyoming Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities. Hold good thoughts for future funding and feel free to spread the word about “Hearts of Glass,” a documentary following Vertical Harvest of Jackson Hole‘s first year of operation.
